Can I choose my own super fund or does my employer choose?
Most of the time, you can choose where you want employer contributions paid to. When you start a new job, employers are usually required to provide you with a Super Choice Form within 28 days of your start date. After completing this form and providing it to your employer, they will then pay contributions into your nominated super account.
Most employers have a preferred or ‘default’ super fund. If you don’t choose your own fund, your employer will pay contributions into their preferred fund.
